Children's Mercy and the Ronald McDonald house do a joint summer camp every year called Camp Chimer. This camp is specifically for children with kidney disorders and allows them to experience all the joys of camp without having to worry about their conditions. In an effort to increase their brand awareness Ronald McDonald House came to Glynndevins to have their non-profit re-branded, and in turn Glynndevins had their intern team helm the project.
Since the goal of the non-profit is to provide the children with the full camp experience, we designed the brand to be the epitome of a summer camp. After being presented with three different concepts for a logo it was decided to go in a boy scout badge direction. Following along with that we came up with a warm and versatile color scheme that carried over into the marketing materials and other proposed changes to the Camp Chimer brand that were then presented to the Ronald McDonald House
Camp Chimer 2016 Shirts
2016 marked the 30 year anniversary of Camp Chimer, and they asked us to come up with a concept and design for their shirts that year. To play off of the anniversary we went for an 80s aesthetic, the theme being Blast Through the Past. The shirts use bright neon colors but are kept to only two colors to save money on printing.
